If you need to cancel your appointment, are delayed on the day of your appointment or are unsure where to go please contact our administration team immediately on 020 8847 9325.

Screening appointments occur in the Cardiovascular Medicine Department. Please report to the reception desk on the second floor at least 15 minutes before your appointment.

Cardiovascular Medicine is situated behind the Cancer Studies building (23a on map) NOT in the main hospital building. Walk up the driveway opposite BTS (there is a barrier system half way up).  At the top of the drive bear to your right and enter the building marked BUIC (a long link-corridor). Turn right and enter through double doors and then through the door on the left hand side. Take the stairs to the 2nd floor. Cardiovascular medicine is immediately on your left. Press buzzer for entry.

By Train: The University station is 10 minutes  walk from the hospital. The station is on the Cross City line run by Central Trains. There are trains approximately every 15 minutes from New Street station in Birmingham city centre (final destination: Longbridge or Redditch). On leaving the station turn right (Medical School ahead).  At crossing turn right and proceed down Vincent Drive until you see a drive on the left hand side.

The best car park to use is the Pay and Display located on Pritchatts Road. On leaving the car park turn right, and then turn right again into Vincent Drive. Proceed down the hill until you see the Cancer Studies building on your right and blood transfusion on your left. Cardiovascular Medicine is located behind the Cancer Studies building (23a on map).
