If you need to cancel your appointment, are delayed on the day of your appointment or are unsure where to go please contact our administration team immediately on 020 8847 9325.

Screening appointments occur in the Physiological Measurement Department (Cardiology) on Level 1 of the hospital in area C. Please report to the reception desk at least 15 minutes before your appointment.

By Tube: Northern Line to Morden. The 157 bus connects to the hospital running every 12 minutes. The bus journey takes between 10-12 minutes.

By Bus:  A number of bus routes serve St Helier Hospital: 151- Wallington-Sutton-WorcesterPark (every 10 minutes daytime); 157- Morden-Croydon-Crystal Palace (every 12 minutes daytime); S1- Mitcham-Sutton-Banstead via Wrythe Lane (every 20 minutes daytime); 154 -Morden-Sutton-West Croydon (every 12 minutes daytime); 164 -Sutton-Morden-Wimbledon (every 10 minutes daytime); 280 - Belmont-Mitcham-Wimbledon (every 10 minutes daytime). Please note that while numbers 151, 157 and S1 stop directly outside the hospital, all others stop at the Rosehill roundabout. While this is only a short 5 - 10 minute walk from the hospital.

Travelling by Rail:

 

If travelling by rail, we would advise patients and visitors to use Sutton mainline railway station and then take a bus to the hospital. The journey takes approximately 5-10 mins. The following buses depart from outside the main Post Office in Sutton: S1 and 151 direct to St Helier Hospital 280 and 164 to Rosehill Roundabout

 

Both St Helier and Carshalton railway stations are at least a 20-25 minute walk from the hospital with less frequent bus connections than nearby Sutton. Both of these railway lines service Sutton railway station.

 

Sutton railway station has direct rail services running to and from the following stations: Leatherhead, Ashtead, Epsom, Ewell East, Cheam, Carshalton Beaches, Wallington, Croydon, London Bridge/Victoria, Clapham Junction, Wimbledon, South Merton, Morden South, St Helier, West Sutton, Carshalton, Hackbridge, Mitcham Junction and Victoria.

 

Travelling by Car:

 

From Central London, take the A217 via Wandsworth, then left at the Rosehill roundabout into Wrythe Lane. From the M25, take the A217 and turn right at the Rosehill roundabout into Wrythe Lane. From Croydon, take the A232 to St. Philomenas School and then the B278 and the hospital will be on the left.

 

Car Parking:

 

There is plenty of parking spaces for visitors to park on site. Car parking is operated as a pay on foot system. The charges are £2.00 for the first hour followed by a £1 charge for each 30 minutes thereafter, up to a maximum charge of £12.00 per day.

 

Cycling:

 

St Helier has a covered bicycle shelter with locking hoops outside the main entrance in Wrythe Lane. Cycle routes to St Helier Hospital are contained in Transport for London's Cycle Guide No. 18. There are bicycle parking areas on site, opposite D Block. Please note that there are no changing or shower facilities for public cyclists.
